Identity-based secure collaboration in wireless ad hoc networks

چکیده
Voluntary peer collaboration is often assumed in media access, route discovery, packet forwarding, and upper-layer protocols designed for wireless ad hoc networks. This assumption has been seriously challenged when peers are autonomous, selfish, ormalicious in large-scale, heterogeneous networks. In this paper, based on the latest advances in identity-based cryptography, we design a lightweight and cheat-resistant micropayment scheme to stimulate and compensate collaborative peers that sacrifice their resources to relay packets for other peers. We also demonstrate that when security and collaboration measures are properly enforced, profitable collaboration is a preferable strategy for all peers in ad hoc networks. 2006 Elsevier B.V. Broadcast Routing in Wireless Ad-Hoc Networks: A Particle Swarm optimization Approach
While routing in multi-hop packet radio networks (static Ad-hoc wireless networks), it is crucial to minimize power consumption since nodes are powered by batteries of limited capacity and it is expensive to recharge the device. This paper studies the problem of broadcast routing in radio networks. Given a network with an identified source node, any broadcast routing is considered as a directed...
متن کاملA New Intrusion Detection System to deal with Black Hole Attacks in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks
By extending wireless networks and because of their different nature, some attacks appear in these networks which did not exist in wired networks. Security is a serious challenge for actual implementation in wireless networks. Due to lack of the fixed infrastructure and also because of security holes in routing protocols in mobile ad hoc networks, these networks are not protected against attack...
متن کاملEvaluation of a BIBD Based Directional MAC Protocol for Wireless Ad Hoc Networks
The use of directional antennas in wireless ad hoc networks can significantly improve global performance due to a high spatial channel reuse. Nevertheless, its introduction poses new location dependent problems related to the MAC protocol. In this paper, the Balanced Incomplete Block Design theory has been exploited to develop a new MAC protocol for wireless ad hoc networks using directional ant...
متن کاملAssessment of DSACC and QPART Algorithms in Ad Hoc Networks
The rapid advancement in wireless over wired has augmented the need for improving theQuality of Service (QoS) over such wireless links. However, the wireless ad hoc networkshave too low bandwidth, and establishing a QoS in these networks is a difficult issue. So,support of quality of service in ad hoc networks is the topical issue among the networkscience researchers. In this research we are go...
متن کاملIdentity Based Secure Routing For Wireless Ad-Hoc Networks
In this paper, we propose an Identity (ID)-based Secure Routing Scheme for secure routing in wireless ad-hoc networks. It make use of Identity based Signature scheme and hash chains to secure the AODV (Ad-hoc on demand distance vector routing) messages. We have used ID based Signature scheme for the immutable fields, that is the fields that remain same throughout the journey of the routing pack...
